Special international guests, Associate Professor Mattijs Elschot and Associate Professor Beathe Sitter, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, will present work from the Department of Circulation and Medical Imaging.

Speaker Bios

Associate Professor Mattijs Elschot is a Medical Engineer and holds a PhD in Medical Imaging. As a Researcher and Associate Professor at NTNU, he works on the cutting edge of medical physics and clinical practice. His current research focus lies on prostate cancer imaging with PET and MRI, and the emerging role of machine learning in this field.

Associate Professor Beathe Sitter is a chemist, with a Phd in Medical technology (2004). Her field of research is based on ex vivo MR spectroscopic analysis, with ongoing projects on psoriatic disease. Associate Professor Sitter is also the Academic Programme Director of a postgraduate and a master programme in MRI for radiographers.
