Researcher biography

  • To develop intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) as a novel antiepileptogenic treatment for temporal lobe epilepsy and to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the antiepileptogenic effect of IVIg.
  • To investigate the regulation of epigenetic modifications, including microRNA and DNA methylation, by epileptogenic brain injury and to determine whether these epigenetic mechanisms are involved in epileptogenic gene regulation and contribute to the development of temporal lobe epilepsy.
