CAI hosts 2nd Annual Small Animal Imaging Workshop

The 2nd Annual Animal Imaging Workshop, co-sponsored by the Centre for Advanced Imaging and the ARC Centre of Excellence in Convergent Bio-Nano Science & Technology (CBNS) took place at CAI on Thursday the 28th of September, 2017. 

The workshop, an activity of the CBNS Education Committee, was organised by UQ node representative Dr Zach Houston. The full day workshop was offered in two concurrent streams: Introduction to Animal Imaging and Advanced Imaging and analysis.

Topics covered included: PET-CT, MRI, optical and MSOT imaging, animoal models, ethics and experimental considerations. There were live demonstrations of the major modalities as well as an opportunity for data analysis.

Course experts and workshop facilitators included CAI’s Dr Zach Houston, A/Prof Kris Thurecht, Dr Karine Mardon, Dr Gary Cowin who were supported by the Thurecht Research Group.
