Researcher biography

Interests involve responsive polymer hybrid materials including polymeric biomaterials, miniemulsion (heterophase) polymerisation and polymers for drug delivery. Previous research focused on antifouling and antibacterial polymer-inorganic hybrids as well as peptide-polymer nanoparticles and nanocapsules for enzyme responsive drug delivery. Current work entails the synthesis of multi-modal polymers for imaging and drug delivery applications. These include hyperbranched polymers for prostate cancer targeting, imaging and site-specific drug delivery as well as smart ‘switchable’ theranostic polymer platforms.
