This research aims to investigate the influence of dopamine and deep brain stimulation on language production in Parkinson's disease and use brain imaging to identify the underlying basis of language deficits. The data obtained will be important for developing a neurocognitive theory of language production and increasing our understanding of frontal-subcortical circuitry and its contribution to this critical human function. In collaboration with Anthony Angwin, Peter Silburn, Bruce Crosson (Emory), David Copland.
