UQ Research Data Manager - features, benefits and best practice data management using the system
UQ Research Data Manager (UQRDM) is a world-leading system designed and developed at UQ and launched in 2018. Over 12,000 users (over 1,000 of them are external collaborators from other institutions or industry partners) currently use UQRDM to store and manage their active research data. It provides researchers with a safe and secure data storage that is accessible to them both online and offline and that meets data storage requirements of relevant policies and standards. During our seminar, we will present the benefits of using UQRDM and update researchers with the latest improvements done to the system. A live demonstration of the system will show how to set up and manage a project record (including adding/removing collaborators, sharing all or parts of the data, linking information such as Grants and Ethics to the record, etc.) and the different ways one can access the storage. Best practice data management will also be covered (e.g. file naming conventions, folder organisation etc.).
