CAI special seminar: Preclinical Optical Imaging Training using the IVIS Lumina X5 Imaging System
Julie Czupryna
Field Application Scientist,
PerkinElmer, Inc., presents a special CAI seminar:
Preclinical Optical Imaging Training using the IVIS Lumina X5 Imaging System
Talk abstract:
PerkinElmer (PKI) offers cutting-edge Optical and MicroCT imaging platforms, reagents and radiometric solutions to spatiotemporally and non-invasively monitor biological processes in living animals. PKI imaging technologies have been featured in more than 10,000 peer-reviewed citations and are being applied in various therapeutic areas including oncology, infectious diseases, neurobiology, inflammation, stem cell and transplantation research, immunology, cardiology and gene therapy, among others.
This seminar will provide a solid background in the field of optical preclinical imaging, setting users up for success utilizing the new IVIS Lumina X5 instrumentation.
Hardware, software, biology and reporter chemistries will be discussed with reference to peer-reviewed literature to highlight the impact of PerkinElmer’s multimodal imaging portfolio on longitudinal monitoring of disease, development of therapeutics and characterization of underlying cellular and molecular pathways. New advances in optical imaging technologies and workflow, image analysis, and their utility in cutting-edge applications will also be presented, concluding with an open user Q&A session.
Dr Czupryna will be available for introductory training sessions to address project specific questions from 11:00am – 12:30pm.
Please email expressions of interest to Theo Crawford (t.crawford@uq.edu.au). Due to limited space at this stage, the training sessions are limited to one user per lab group.
