The Centre for Advanced Imaging's Avance 700 NMR spectrometer

The Bruker Avance 700 MHz spectrometer is used in a broad range of life science and materials research. The spectrometer has a cooled high-throughput sample changer that enables metabolomic and fragment library screening.

The high sensitivity of the cryoprobe allows the investigation of small quantities of compounds such as in natural product structural elucidation and conformational studies.

This instrument is ideal for use in metabolomics, natural product chemistry,  pharmacy and biotechnology, synthetic chemistry, nutritional science and molecular diagnostics research.

Capabilities include:

• Cooled SampleJet high-throughput sample handling and analysis system (480 samples)
• Magnet: 16.44 Tesla
• 4 channels
• Triple resonance cryoprobe (13C/15N/1H) with 19F capability
• Avance III HD console
• Observable nuclei: H, F, C, N and D
