Professor Kristofer Thurecht has been named a finalist in the 2020 Australian Museum Eureka Prizes - known colloquially as the ‘Oscars’ of Australian science, for the development of a new virtual reality platform - BioNanoVR.

CAI’s Director, Professor David Reutens, has been elected to the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences in recognition of distinguished professional achievements and outstanding leadership in health and medicine.

The next generation of scientists who will expand the boundaries of biomedical imaging to improve healthcare will be trained at an $8.5 million research hub to be established at The University of Queensland Centre for Advanced Imaging.
