QNN Facilities
The QNN facility establishes a network of high field NMR instrumentation in Queensland which underpins a developing biotechnology industry in this State.
At the hub of the Network three NMR systems are being installed, each of which represents state-of-the-art instrumentation within their respective fields of bioscience: the 900 MHz high-resolution spectrometer; the 700 MHz wide-bore microimaging system; and the 600 MHz high-throughput system.
These facilities are supported by existing medium field spectrometers in Brisbane,Townsville, Rockhampton and the Gold Coast, linked by a network of new data stations at universities and biotech companies across the State.
The facility has a projected user-base of more than 200 researchers across the State and this number will increase as more collaborative biotech initiatives emerge.
